I completed the JOST Assessment (Junior Oral Language Screening Tool) with Melissa, she could name most body parts in English and some of their functions. I wonder if she knows them in Cantonese? Melissa was very quietly spoken throughout the assessment - i wonder if she is this quiet at home?

Key Competencies/Vision Principles

Throughout the assessment Melissa showed she was Capable of completing most of the tasks in English. (Using Language, Symbols and Texts). Melissa has a good base knowledge of English and can make Connections to her first language of Cantonese.
