Melissa, Ziell and Sharon chose to participate in an iExperience that involved using a cork tile, hammer, nails and thread to create an artwork. The aim of this artwork was to ‘Pay it Forward’. They needed to think about someone in their life who they could encourage by gifting them their cork tile. The learners needed to plan out their design and colour choice based on the person they had in mind to receive their finished work (connected). Melissa, Ziell and Sharon collaborated to overcome challenges and to help each other make decisions about colours. They extended their capabilities by safely using a hammer to put in the nails and show thought about how close/far apart each nail needed to be.

Write a letter/postcard to the person who will be receiving the tile. Tell them about what the materials are and how it was made. Display tiles in the habitat and talk to other learners about how they were made.
